Benefit Sampler & Watermelon Cookies

Hi there!

The other day I took a trip to the wonderful land of Ulta, and decided I needed 'broaden' my makeup horizons.

I made this decision in 3/4 of a second.

After going back and forth for a while, I decided upon the "Groovy Kind-of-Love" sampler palette by Benefit.

 You may find yourself wondering "why did Mary choose this one?"

Well, if I must tell you, it's because I didn't want to blow fifty bucks on an eyeshadow palette. AN EYESHADOW PALETTE.

I also got watermelon hard candies. They remind me something my grandmother would keep around (she's never kept around hard candies). But you know - that typical grandma stereotype.

I actually ate half the bag over one day, and my tongue did this weird thing...

BRIGHT. PINK. How awesome is that?!

In other news, that cat (Loretta) is still staying with us and she went haywire over my tuna salad today.

Love always, Mary ♡

Loretta

Meet Loretta, my grandparent's cat.

She's obviously too cool for us all.
She's taking a stay at our house for a while, and already getting acquainted with us.

Also, she's a bit camera-shy.

Oh well.

Oatmeal Cookies and Crunchy Peanut Butter

Hello you.

Yesterday night, whilst browsing health blogs, I came across a recipe for a two ingredient cookie.

I tried out the recipe, and they turned out AMAZING. So, I thought I'd pass on the recipe.

Because that's what friends do, and we're friends, right?

You'll only need..
oatmeal & a banana

(stir & continue adding as much oatmeal as you prefer. the cookies just need to hold themselves together.)

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees and bake for 15 minutes.

Let them cool, and enjoy!

And, about the crunchy peanut butter, I just wanted to say I tried it for the first time today. It was something else.

I thought it was so repulsive, I added it to the cookies, and it was mildly better.

My Book Collection

Hello!

I recently organized all my books, and now I feel like I have my own mini library!

I can't exactly name ALL the books here, but I will give out some honorable mentions!

-Peter & the Star Catchers-
-House of Hades-
-Walk Two Moons- {I HIGHLY suggest this one}
-The Tail of Emily Windsnap- {it's a play on words}
-Hatchet-

Alright, that's what I've got tonight! I hope you check out some of my suggestions ^.^

Love always, mary ♡

{and yes, I'm very aware it's a horrendous picture.}

Time To Get Creative

Every once in a while, I try to set aside time to let my creative juices flow...

First, I pick some music to jam to....

Then, I usually go onto Polyvore to write a blog post. {like now}

This is actually a set I made, here's a link to it if you're interested. It's all about coming up with a New Year's resolution...

Mary's 2014 New Year's Resolutions

Hello everyone! I've come to you from a very comfy chair to deliver to you....

My New Year's Resolutions!

So I went with the mainstream ones, like to eat better & exercise more, but I came up with some of my own...

O1. limit my Internet time
O2. make a blogging schedule
O3. start putting up creative content on YouTube
O4. floss more {TMI much?}
O5. write down all the dreams I have at night into a journal

So... that's a lot to cram into one year! But, if I tell myself I'm able to accomplish these things... I will!

I hope you all have a happy & healthy 2014 ♡
