Relaxation Night

Hi there ♥

A few evenings ago, after returning home with a few new candles, I decided to have myself a night of relaxation.

I lit my two new candles, (Tis The Season & Cranberry Woods, both by Bath & Body Works) made some tea, and sat down to watch a Christmas-y movie.

I took this picture before I lit my Merry Cookie candle- oops!

I hope you all have a wonderful holiday ♥

Love always, Mary ^.^

Winter Wonderland Activities

hey you ♥

I've constructed a list of 'winter wonderland activities'. Of course, not all of these pertain to the outdoors as the title implies, because who want to spend the whole day outside in the winter?

*raises hand eagerly* "I do! I do!"

Anywho, let's dive right in...

- make your favorite winter drink
- sit by the fireplace
- watch endless amounts of Christmas movies
- read The Night Before Christmas
- go Christmas present shopping
- set up all of your decorations for Christmas
- skate on an outdoor rink
- light all of your Christmas candles
- write a letter to Santa....I seriously will still do this into adulthood.
- sport a Santa hat around town
- donate or volunteer to a local charity...it's the season of giving, after all!
- decorate a gingerbread house
- look at Christmas light displays
- go caroling

I hope this gets you into the Christmas spirit!

Fall Flashbacks

Hello ♥

With the whole winter ahead of us, I decided to look back upon the pictures I took this past fall. Enjoy!

In September, I laid down on the street in the city and watched people dance ON THE SIDE OF A BUILDING! It was terrifying and mesmerising at the same time.

I snapshot I took as the sun was setting at my brother's soccer game.

Another beautiful shot of the trees.

A cozy bonfire out in the country.

A giant hawk that landed in my backyard. He let me take some pictures of him that chilly morning.

At the University of Missouri, on the endzone of the football field after becoming the SEC East Champions!

O' Christmas Tree

Oh hi.

I've put my Christmas tree up, the train is running, and my nutcrakers are cracking nuts already. (kind of)

Don't you just want to sing to it? *o' Christmas tree, how lovely are your branches*

My train is so realistic I have nightmares about it.

The boys in my life, Nutcracker & Truman the Tiger.

Somehow I conviced myself I can take artsy shots. *shakes head in shame*

There it is. My lovely tree.

I hope you enjoyed this post.

Love, Mary ♥

Decorating For Christmas {Part One}

Hello ♥

I've unearthed my Chistmas decorations for my room this past week, and put them all up.

It didn't take too long {which I love}and my room looks so lovely now!

Since my house isn't decorated yet, I'll put up a part two, but for now, here's what my room turned out like...

My mini tree, which I'm very proud of. It may be small and plucky, but it's got character!

My window, which I hung garland on. Then, I strung ornaments with clear thread, and tied them onto my windowsill. It took some time, but it look great! {sorry for the lighting - it's been gloomy outside today}

I've got all my favorite winter scents set out. All my winter-y hand sanitizers are spread amoung my house at the moment, I'm such a clean freak!

My santa and a Christmas cookie scented candle adorn my dresser. {my little weiner dog jewelry holder also snuck in there}

I randomly found this candy cane bucket in my basement, and decided to put it to good use.

That completes my Christmas room tour!

Thank you for reading, I really do appreciate it ^.^

Love, Mary

A Day For Peppermint Tea

Hello!

In the midst of being home alone, (all day) I decided it was time to start liking tea.

I don't even know why it came upon me, maybe it's the weather, or maybe it's all the British YouTubers I'm watching.

But, I pulled out my spanking new box of peppermint tea to give it a go.

And let me tell you, it was delicious.

I was so captivated by the tea, I dedicated a whole blog post to it.

Now that's love.

I even lit my favorite fall candle for the occasion; Leaves by Bath & Body Works.

I hope you liked this random little post.

What's YOUR favorite kind of tea? Comment it below!

Love, Mary
